The plant breeding center at North Carolina State University has one of the largest plant breeding programs in the U.S. The center is interdepartmental, and involves a full range of research programs, courses, and crops. Plant breeders at NC State are based in different colleges (Natural Resources, and Agriculture and Life Sciences), and departments (including Crop Science, Emtomology, Forestry, Genetics, Horticultural Science, and Plant Pathology), as well as the USDA-ARS.

Dr. Charles Stuber is the director of the Plant Breeding Center. In addition to coordinating plant breeding seminars, courses, and faculty, the center offers graduate student fellowships.
