I hold a 100% research appointment in the area of molecular cytogenetics, crop plant genetics, breeding and applied genomics. The primary focus of my research is germplasm and genetic stock development in cotton with a particular interest in the improvement of cotton yield and fiber quality. My program also uses basic genetics, breeding, molecular genetic and genomic approaches to investigate the fundamental processes in plant biology.
