Cucurbit Genetics Cooperative
Overview
The Cucurbit Genetics Cooperative (CGC), established in 1977, provides services for researchers interested in the genetics and breeding of species of the Cucurbitaceae crop family. CGC serves as an organizational vehicle for scientists to informally communicate the results of their research and development efforts. The cooperative emphasizes the free exchange of information and germplasm among members, both public and private. For more information go to "About CGC", where you will find everything you need to know about CGC, including minutes of our last meeting.
Reports
CGC Volume 30 (2007) has been published and mailed to members whose dues are up-to-date. Please contact Linda Wessel-Beaver if you have not received your copy.
CGC 31 & 32 (2008 - 2009) is being edited for publishing in the near future.
Many volumes of the CGC Reports are now available online. We have also put the entire Vegetable Improvement Newsletter online. (The Cucurbit Network is available online as well.) Also, the Watermelon Research and Development Group is hosted on the CGC web server.
The American Society for Horticultural Science is giving away (no charge to ASHS members) the proceedings of past Cucurbitaceae conferences. Contact Mike Neff if you would like any of those volumes. Volumes available are:
- Proceeding of the Cucurbitaceae 2002 Conference
- Proceeding of the Cucurbitaceae 1998 Conference
- Proceeding of the Cucurbitaceae 1994 Conference
