Cucurbit-Related Conferences
The Cucurbitaceae conferences are held every other year, alternating between Europe (as EUCARPIA conferences) and the U.S. The most recent U.S. conferences were at Cornell University, New York (1980), Charleston, South Carolina (1989), South Padre Island, Texas (1994), Asilomar, California (1998), Naples, Florida (2002), and Asheville, North Carolina (2006). The most recent EUCARPIA-Cucurbitaceae conferences were in France (1988), Poland (1992), Spain (1996), Israel (2000), the Czech Republic (2004), and Avignon, France (2008).
In addition, there are other cucurbit conferences such as the International ISHS Symposium on Cucurbits in Turkey (1997), Japan (2001), Australia (2005) and China (2009), and the 1st International Oil Pumpkin Conference in Austria (1999).
