  • Through a masters degree in Horticultural Science from North Carolina State University, a career in the field of food crops research and development will be pursued.

  • Bachelor's degree in Crop Science, Colorado State University, Ft. Collins, CO, 1995 to 1999, GPA: 3.8 on a 0-4.0 scale (4.0 being an A+)
  • Relevent course work; Plant breeding, Population and quantitative genetics, Molecular genetics, Statistics for biological science, Crop science, Soils, Advanced Biology and Chemistry

Employment History:

  • Hort. Sci., North Carolina State University-Raleigh:  1999-present.  Graduate research assistant.
  • GP Services:  1996-1999.  Sole proprietor of carpet cleaning company.  Establishment and maintenance of clientele, operations, staffing and employee training.
  • Seedex Inc.:  1997, 1998.  Assisted in the breeding of 1997-1998, 1998-1999 sugarbeet hybrid development and roguing of test plots.  (Summer internships)
  • Evergreen Veterinary Services:  1993-1996.  Responsible for the care of approximately 50 animals of various breeds and sizes receiving medical treatment and/or services.  (Weekend, summer and college break employment)
  • Human Technology:  1993 and 1994.  Assisting in the organization and management of personal computer training programs.  (Summer employment)
