Handout - Blue Slides

Ektachrome Film

1. Prepare text
   • Print one page per slide
   • Black text on white paper
2. Set up camera
   • Macro lens
   • Orange filter (for blue slides)
   • Load Ektachrome 100 film (for color prints)
3. Shoot text slides
   • Work out settings for your copy stand
   • Meter on gray card
   • I prefer to get more light on film to make negative image darker
     • by setting camera at ISO 800 so that
     • camera meter will get 3 stops more exposure
4. Process film
   • Take Ektachrome 100 film to custom lab
   • Request C41 film processing (for color prints)
     • and film cut and placed into slide mounts
   • Film will be returned as a negative image (white on blue)
