Handout - Polaroid Palette Slide Maker (Windows)
- Printing from PowerPoint 97 to the Polaroid Palette, Windows
98 Pentium system
- Power on
- Make sure the Palette is on before you start up the computer!
- The on/off switch is located on the front of the Palette.
- Start up the computer.
- Open Powerpoint
- Open your presentation into Powerpoint.
- Let the Palette warm up for about 10 minutes before you
start shooting slides.
- Load film
- Use only Fujichrome 100 ISO or Ektachrome Elite 100 ISO
35mm film
- Open the camera back and load film.
- Make sure the end of the film is pulled across and the
holes engage the teeth in the winder.
- Film advances automatically when back is closed.
- Verify:
- Print slides
- Remember you are Printing to the Polaroid Palette when
shooting slides
- Select Page Setup from File pulldown menu
- Verify:
- 35mm slides and size equal to 11.25 X 7.5 inches
- landscape or portrait orientation depending on your
presentation
- number slides from 1
- Click OK
- Select Print from File pulldown menu
- Verify:
- Printer = Digital Palette CI-5000
- Status = Idle
- Type = Digital Palette CI-5000
- Where = LPT 2
- Comment = RasterPlus 95
- Number of Copies = ?
- Print Range = All or Type in Page range.
- What: Slides
- Verify:
- No boxes are X'd at the bottom of the page.
- Click on Properties at the top of the page
- Verify:
- Paper Size = Power Point (7.5 X 11.25)
- Layout = 1 up
- Orientation = Portrait or Landscape (according to
your presentation)
- Paper Source ------- Ignore This Area
- Click on Graphics at the top of the page
- Verify:
- Resolution = 2048
- Ignore the rest of the page
- Click on Device Options at the top of the page
- Within Film Type: Select the film you are using
- Usually:
- Elite II 100 v1
- or
- Fujichrome Sensia RD II v1
- or
- Fujichrome RD 100 v1
- Click on Apply then on OK
- Begin printing slides
- Click on OK to Start Printing.
- Then look on the Menu at the bottom of the screen and
click on RasterPlus 95 Queue and a status window will appear
over your presentation
- This shows the status of the processing of your job.
- Watch the green Power light on the palette blink when
processing starts.
- Listen for shutter when first slide starts shooting.
- Listen and watch for first slide to advance before leaving
Pallet unattended
- It will take 2-3 minutes to shoot each slide
- Failure will stop machine
- Retrieve finished film
- Check that film is finished printing
- Verify:
- The green light is no longer blinking
- That the film counter shows 24, 36 or one number higher
than your last slide (i.e. 21 slides counter = 22.)
- Close the RasterPlus 95 Queue box. Do not Save changes.
- Close the RasterPlus 95 or minimize it if you will shoot
more slides.
- Verify:
- That your first slide is displayed in PowerPoint.
- Press and hold the rewind switch to fully rewind the film.
- This may take some time!
- Make sure that you remove your film promptly and leave the
machine as you found it.
