Cultivar and Germplasm Releases (all crops)

Forty-three cultivar and germplasm releases have been released since 1979. In 1993, luffa sponge gourd was added, and 3 hybrids and 5 inbreds are being prepared for release of that crop. In 1996, watermelon was added, and 3 hybrids and 5 inbreds are being prepared for release of that crop. Other releases being prepared include dwarf-determinate processing and fresh-market cucumbers, patio cucumbers, and chilling resistant cucumbers.
